Yachting Ventures 3.0

Applications for the third Yachting Ventures (YV) accelerator are now open, with the next program starting 17th January 2022.

Aimed at assisting entrepreneurs in the marine leisure, yachting and superyachting industries, YV supports participants through an action-packed 6 weeks of mentorship, connections, and education.

The accelerator now has more than 30 mentors, who are all entrepreneurs, and who have successfully started, scaled and/or sold businesses in this space. The mentorships are completely remote, and the course is designed to fit around other commitments. All the sessions are recorded, and content is accessible online, so founders can work at their own pace – wherever they are in the world.

There have been some fantastic success stories from the +50 entrepreneurs who have participated in previous YV cohorts. By way of example:
  1. Crewdentials is a software company that is determined to revolutionise crew onboarding and certification management within the maritime industry. Since participating in YV, the company has secured a huge crew management client with more than 20,000 crew members, has moved to new offices, and is currently hiring. The team have also successfully raised investment from two business angels, to further accelerate the growth of the business.
  2. Seasy is described as the AirBnB of the seas, connecting boaters with marinas and providing boaters with information on their next destination. Since participating in YV, the startup has created more than 1 million in booking value and has raised a six-digit investment round, with both business angels and a VC firm participating in the round.
  3. Hefring Marine is building an intelligent and condition-adaptable speed and wave impact guidance system for boats, supported by a user-friendly fleet management software with real-time monitoring and detailed trip insights and reports. Since participating in the second YV accelerator, the startup has grown its customer base, and secured investment from New Business Venture Fund, INNOPORT and Tech Nexus.
Aside from the portfolio of successful startups like those detailed above, the YV website is filled with quotes from previous attendees, such as Brad Techow of MOCEAN who said:
“Having completed the Yachting Ventures accelerator program, I believe that the likelihood of my startup succeeding has increased significantly thanks to the resources, tools, support, and mentors available to me through the program. If you are serious about launching a startup and want to increase your chances of success, I’d highly recommend joining the Yachting Ventures Accelerator. It’s a game changer.”
